The goal of the program is to build trust, promote a positive relationship with police, and stimulate personal development. Youth and police can interact in a meaningful, fun setting through a pickleball program. The idea is to build a life skill of fitness, being active and hoping they continue later independently.
They will begin the session with a brief introduction and warm up activities. They will learn the rules, do some drills to build on skills to play the game; and then move into some game play. Towards the end they will do a cool down and have light refreshments.
