COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

The police are the public and the public are the police; the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence.

- Sir Robert Peel

We believe that by fostering meaningful relationships with our community members, we can educate, empower, and change our city for the better.

This involves informing our community about initiatives, by hosting community meetings, town halls, social media communications, and events. We seek diverse input from all partners, as we collaborate as a community to achieve solutions. Community Engagement enhances neighborhood cohesion and allows for the community to have ownership over the outcomes that will ultimately impact them.
