BIKE with US

The Bike with Us program is a joint initiative between the Toronto Police Neighbourhood Community Officer program and the Gateway Bike Hub at Evergreen Brickworks, with financial support from the Jumpstart Program.

It is an opportunity for youth to interact with local officers in a neutral setting. The program will provide the youth with the chance to learn basic biking skills such as maintenance and care, bike safety and personal safety. It will also give the youth an opportunity to experience a part of Toronto beyond their local community as they will get to bike along the many trails at Evergreen Brickworks and the surrounding area under the supervision of the officers.

Requirements

•        Between 10-13yrs old
•        Reside within the Thorncliffe Park/Flemingdon Park Community
•         Able to physically participate in up to 1 hour of exercise/cycling
•        Willing to commit to attend at least 5 of the 7 sessions
•         Willing to sign media release, have picture taken and possibly used to promote the program
